In this server, we have open discussions encompassing all facets of philosophy and economics. Additionally, we have daily watch parties for philosophy lectures and other insightful YouTube videos, short essay contests, VC debates with moderators, manga chapters and movie streams, discussions about philosophy in films, etc. The point of all this is to further the development of philosophy by engaging with other philosophy bros/fellow intellectuals, at all levels of expertise, who also want to deepen their understanding of philosophy. Philosophy is the science that defines and studies the broadest abstractions possible to serve as man’s cognitive guide. Philosophy can be broken down into the study of the basic nature of existence (metaphysics), the nature and means of mans knowledge (epistemology), the proper values for man (ethics), and the purpose and proper standard for the evaluation of art (aesthetics). Our community places a strong emphasis on Austrian Economics and Objectivism, both are heterodox schools of thought, and both get their respective domains correct. Despite their individual strengths, a concerted effort to fuse these two philosophies has been scant. Objectivists lay a solid foundation in metaphysics and epistemology, offering robust principles for understanding reality and our knowledge of it. However, they suffer when it comes to the more remote derivations from these core areas, such as legal theory—law is precisely one of those areas that the Austrians excel at. The Austrian School of Economics, with its nuanced understanding of law and economics, perfectly complements the gaps in Objectivist thought. Therefore, we advocate for a complete integration of these two schools of thought, believing that such a synthesis would provide a more complete philosophical framework.
